Director’s Statement
I have always been drawn to the 'strangers' who exist on a different frequency. Through <Jesus Lived in a Motel Room>, I explored the moment when two isolated worlds collide to find a simple, human 'salvation' in the act of protecting one another. This film is my tribute to the unexpected connections that make us feel less alone in a surreal world.
Program Note
(By Nam-woong Huh, Film Critic)
"Ebee (Seok-hee), who prefers solitude, confronts her neighbor for his loud music—only to find a man named 'Jesus' glowing with a divine aura. As they navigate a series of mysterious events together, Ebee begins to understand the true meaning of coexistence. If 'salvation' is finding peace of mind, this film achieves it through its seamless narrative rhythm and an atmospheric soundtrack that lingers long after the credits."
